Your JSON data never touches our servers

Every tool on JSON Tools Hub — the formatter, viewer, validator, editor, comparer, and converters — runs entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript and, for larger files, Web Workers. When you paste, type, or drag a file into any tool, that content is processed locally on your device. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers. We have no visibility into what you format, view, or validate.

Information we do collect

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are visited, general geographic region, device type, and referral source. This is standard, anonymized web analytics and is not tied to the content of any JSON you process on the site. Google Analytics may set cookies to distinguish unique visitors; you can opt out using your browser's privacy settings or a browser extension such as Google's Analytics Opt-out Add-on.

Cookies

Beyond analytics cookies described above, we use a single local-storage entry (not a cookie) to remember your light/dark theme preference. This never leaves your browser and is not used for tracking. If we serve advertising in the future, third-party ad providers may set their own cookies as described below.

Advertising

We intend to apply for Google AdSense to help support the free tools on this site. If and when ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites; you can review and adjust ad personalization at Google's Ads Settings. Ad units, when present, are clearly distinguished from tool controls and never placed to encourage accidental clicks. As of this policy's last update, third-party ads are disabled site-wide while we complete our AdSense application.

EU/UK visitors and cookie consent

If you're visiting from the EU or UK, a cookie consent notice will be shown before any non-essential analytics or advertising script runs, in line with GDPR requirements.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for general and developer audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
